Citroen C3 Aircross wins European car award

Citroen has received the AUTOBEST Conquest Best Users’ Car of Europe 2026 trophy for the C3 Aircross. The award is given to the most user-friendly car on the market, as voted by both the AUTOBEST jury and car users across Europe.

The C3 Aircross was voted by both the AUTOBEST jury and car users across Europe as the most user-friendly car on the market. Xavier Chardon, Citroen CEO, accepted the trophy and stated that the distinction is a great honor, as it reflects the voice of the company’s customers.

The AUTOBEST jury, which includes Richard Aucock from Motoring Research, consists of 32 members from across Europe. For the first time, car users were given an equal vote alongside the jury, and it was the public vote that helped swing things in Citroen’s way.

Dan Vardie, AUTOBEST chairman and founder, noted that this is the first time in history when the people of Europe are voting equally with the AUTOBEST jury representing 32 nations across our continent. Vardie was joined by other AUTOBEST officials, including Petros Soutzis from Cyprus, Alessio Viola from Italy, and fellow vice president Richard Aucock from the UK (and Motoring Research).

Vardie said, “With the C3 Aircross as the winner, we are pioneering a new accolade dedicated to car users. In the end, what matters most inside our car is having a great journey – and this is exactly what Citroen promises and delivers!”
