GMC Yukon Denali goes all black in Australia

General Motors Specialty Vehicles has launched a black-out version of its three-row GMC Yukon Denali for Australia and New Zealand, called the Signature Black, priced at $181,490 plus on-road costs.
All-black exterior design
The edition wears Onyx Black paint, while “Black Vader Chrome” accents the side mouldings, front and lower rear fascia, grille and grille surround, creating a uniform dark silhouette that stands out in daylight and at night.
Gloss-black hood mouldings, roof rails and 24-inch wheels complete the look; the wheels are finished in a matching gloss-black finish that ties the exterior together. Exterior badging is also finished in black, and Australian-spec models feature an illuminated GMC emblem, giving the vehicle a distinct night-time presence.
Premium interior appointments
Inside, the cabin is fitted with jet-black leather seats and second-row captain’s chairs, both heated and ventilated, and the rear seats receive heating as well. A power-sliding centre console adds convenience.

Technology includes a 16.8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 15.0-inch heads-up display, and dual 12.6-inch rear-seat colour-touch LCD screens paired with wireless headphones. Wireless phone charging and a 14-speaker audio system round out the amenities.
Performance, capability and pricing
The SUV keeps the 6.2-liter V8 paired with a 10-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, delivering 313 kW and 624 Nm of torque, identical to the standard Denali.
Capability remains unchanged: a towing capacity of 3,628 kg with the proper hitch, two-speed transfer case, electronic limited-slip differential, adaptive four-corner suspension with magnetic ride control that adjusts damping in real time, trailer sway control, integrated brake controller that simplifies trailer braking, and a 360-degree camera system with hitch guidance.
Acting managing director for General Motors Australia and New Zealand Greg Rowe said the model “reflects how closely we listen to our customers and respond to what they want from a premium SUV.” He highlighted the captain’s chairs and purpose-selected wheels as key customer-driven features.
