The updated CRF1100L Africa Twin lineup includes three versions, with the Tricolor edition featuring gold-tinted forks and wheels.

Honda’s CRF1100L Africa Twin has undergone a visual refresh, with new color schemes and design refinements designed to emphasize its off-road heritage. These changes cater to riders who view motorcycles as essential gear for adventure travel, covering updates to frame colors, suspension details, and bodywork styling.

The updated model lineup now includes three distinct versions. The Tricolor edition combines gold-tinted front forks and wheels with a black frame, along with simplified front batok graphics. The Matt Ballistic Black Metallic retains the black frame but incorporates gold striping for visual contrast. A newly introduced Grand Prix Red option delivers a more aggressive, sport-inspired appearance.

Honda’s marketing director, Octavianus Dwi, explained that the redesign strengthens the bike’s rugged appeal while expanding its visual range. “This update provides riders with new styling options while preserving the tough, adventure-oriented character that defines the Africa Twin,” he stated.

The mechanical specifications remain unchanged. The 1.084 cc SOHC 8-valve parallel twin engine continues to produce 101 PS at 7,500 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. Electronic enhancements include Showa EERA suspension, a 6-axis IMU, and four riding modes tailored for touring, urban, gravel, and off-road conditions. A 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration.

Despite the focus on visual updates, the bike’s core functionality remains centered on adaptability. Its 242 kg frame balances daily commuting with rough-terrain performance, supported by an 18.8-liter fuel tank and 250 mm of ground clearance for extended rides. The 2.330 mm wheelbase and semi-double cradle chassis maintain stability, while dual front disc brakes with ABS ensure safety across varied conditions.

Pricing begins at Rp665 million in Jakarta, with orders processed through Honda’s Big Wing dealer network. This update reflects a broader industry trend where manufacturers blend aesthetic revisions with proven mechanical reliability to sustain consumer interest without compromising core performance.

Technical details for the model include 90/90-21 front tires and 150/70-18 rear tires, along with a 310 mm dual-front disc brake and 256 mm rear disc brake, both equipped with ABS. The seat height is adjustable between 850 mm and 870 mm to accommodate riders of different sizes.
