Stellantis has maintained its annual guidance, despite reporting a significant quarterly loss and substantial cash outflow. The company’s Q3 net revenues rose to €37.6 billion, a 1.0% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Financial Performance and Cost-Cutting Measures

While Stellantis recorded a net loss of €0.5 billion in Q3 2026, this marks an improvement from the €4.5 billion loss in the same quarter of the previous year. Adjusted operating income also saw a positive shift, reaching €0.3 billion, up from €0.1 billion in Q3 2025.

Despite these improvements, industrial free cash flow remained negative at €4.0 billion, falling short of analyst expectations. The company attributes this to its ongoing cost-cutting initiatives, with CEO Antonio Filosa highlighting the progress of their FaSTLAne 2030 plan and Value Creation Program (VCP).

Regional Sales Performance

In North America, Stellantis experienced a 1% sales increase compared to Q3 2025, with mixed results across countries. While U.S. and Canadian sales dipped by 0.3%, Mexican sales surged by 24% (28% including Leapmotor). The company’s U.S. performance outpaced the industry trend, driven by strong sales of the Ram 1500, Dodge Durango, and Chrysler Pacifica.

Stellantis also saw growth in the EU30 market, with sales rising by 1% (6% including Leapmotor) year-over-year. This was primarily fueled by the success of Smart Car, which saw a 36% increase in sales, and growing demand for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in key European markets. BEV sales in the EU30 region soared by 65% (93% including Leapmotor) compared to the previous year.

Global Expansion and Challenges

In the Asia-Pacific region, Stellantis faced a 27% sales decline compared to Q3 2025 (22% including Leapmotor), largely due to decreased demand for the Citroën C5X. However, the company made significant strides in the region, including the start of Leapmotor C10 and B10 production in Malaysia and the establishment of Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co. (DSAT).

The completion of the shareholder loan-to-equity conversion by Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Co., Ltd (DPCA) in September 2026 paves the way for the development and expansion of new Jeep and Peugeot models. This strategic move shows Stellantis’ commitment to global growth and product diversification, even as it handles regional sales fluctuations.
