Honda unveiled its newest concept motorcycle at the CIMA trade show in Chongqing, China: the CB250SS Scrambler Concept. This neo-retro design merges dual-sport visuals with a rugged appearance, though it prioritizes urban suitability over off-road performance. A 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine powers Honda CB250SS, which could be shared with Japanese-spec Rebel 250.

The motorcycle’s styling draws heavily from classic scrambler elements. It includes block-pattern dual-sport tires, a ribbed brown seat, and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with red and white accents. Front and rear mudguards maintain the same color scheme, while the radiator guard displays a white grille with CB branding. Gold accents on the gearbox casing and front forks enhance its premium look, though the overall design suggests a compact, city-oriented build rather than heavy-duty off-road capability.

A circular TFT instrument cluster with Honda RoadSync Gen 2 integration provides connected features and navigation. The headlight guard and quad LED projector units replicate styling cues from Honda’s Rebel series, while a bash plate and sturdy suspension hint at durability without full off-road specifications. The 17-inch wheels and limited suspension travel further emphasize its street-legal nature, reinforcing that this is a lifestyle scrambler rather than a trail bike.

Honda has not yet confirmed whether the concept will move into production or if it will remain exclusive to the Chinese market. If Honda proceeds with production, the bike’s success will depend on balancing vintage charm with practical urban functionality.
