Honda Cars India has introduced an updated midsize SUV, priced between Rs 11.80 lakh and Rs 18.40 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The refreshed lineup features the SV, V, VX, ZX trims, along with the newly added ZX+ and ZX+ Black variants.

Beyond the exterior changes, the SUV now includes front and rear ventilated seats, powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, and an enhanced Honda Sensing system. Manual variants start at Rs 11.80 lakh, while CVT options begin at Rs 13.79 lakh for the V trim.

Design and Features of the Updated Honda SUV

The refreshed model features a redesigned front fascia, drawing inspiration from the Honda WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept. A larger mesh grille sits beneath a connected tri-bar LED lighting signature, and the Honda emblem is now positioned at the bonnet’s edge. Gloss-black accents, updated headlamp surrounds, and a revised bumper enhance the front’s sharper look.

The SUV retains its familiar profile, complemented by new alloy wheel designs. At the rear, connected LED tail lamps extend toward the central Honda badge, with revised bumper and skid-plate treatments. Connected front and rear lighting is available from the VX trim onward. The color palette now includes Nordic Forest Pearl, alongside Crystal Black Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl.

Inside, the dashboard’s previous faux-wood design has been replaced with an ivory-and-black theme. Higher trims feature soft-touch materials on the dashboard and doors, gloss-black accents, and perforated ivory leather seats. Ambient lighting wraps around the dashboard and doors. Front and rear ventilated seats are introduced, with the ZX+ adding rear ventilated seats.

Safety and Technology in the Updated Honda SUV

The ZX+ trim includes a 360-degree surround-view camera and front parking sensors. Honda’s LaneWatch camera is available from the VX trim, while the ZX trim features a 10.25-inch touchscreen and an eight-speaker audio system. Additional features include a one-touch electric sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, and a PM2.5 air-quality display with automatic clean-air functionality on the VX trim.

Honda Sensing now includes Low-Speed Follow for adaptive cruise control, available on CVT variants. The suite also features collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assistance, road departure mitigation, auto high beam, and lead-car departure notification. CVT variants from the V trim onward gain rear disc brakes, an electric parking brake, and auto brake hold.

Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages. CVT variants are equipped with all-wheel disc brakes, while features like the 360-degree camera vary by trim. Honda has also improved noise insulation with thicker instrument-panel duct insulation and higher-density acoustic layers.

According to Honda, these enhancements reduce engine and road noise, improving cabin quietness during cruising and acceleration. The SUV retains its 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine, delivering 121 PS and 145 Nm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a CVT, with claimed mileage of 15.31 km/l for the manual and 16.61 km/l for the CVT. Ground clearance remains at 220 mm, and the standard warranty is three years with unlimited kilometres.

The ZX trim adds an auto-dimming interior mirror and capacitive-touch cabin spot lamps. The V trim includes two rear USB-C ports, a reversing camera, and Honda Connect with a three-year subscription.

Engine and Warranty of the Updated Honda SUV

Extended warranty coverage is available for up to seven years with unlimited kilometres, while Honda’s Anytime Warranty programme offers coverage up to 10 years or 1,20,000 km, subject to terms.
